This is just one of many attempts to find my illustrative voice. As a designer I mainly create commissioned work, so to me it feels different to just draw and illustrate without ‘purpose’. But I set my mind on becoming a better digital illustrator an finding my own voice in these many possibilities… I drew this portrait on my ipad 2 with Apple pen. I used the app Procreate (great for digital drawing). I didn’t use a model or photo, this is a complete fantasy portrait drawn from memory.
