Was during our yearly family night out (on the ‘third’ christmas day) where we would go bowling and have dinner and go and see a movie with the whole family. During the bowling my oldest brother and his wife both simultaneously grabbed a ball off the rack. I happened to stand there and took a black and white photo of them, it’s cool because there’s lots of contrast between them. There arms are crossing and the picture has a kind of movement and tension in it.
Not that the bowling with my family was ever a very exciting match. My big brother always won. Each year. His wife always came last. So to me the picture has this extra dimension of knowing that 🙂
Now the picture feels different.
It paints a beautiful picture of two people whom I loved dearly, but sadly are no longer with us. They both passed away these last couple of years, but I still miss and will never forget our friday nights.
